[00:00:01] Speaker A: So I've seen a lot of people do this. They genuinely just make money from connecting people. That can happen with just like one introduction. If one really good introduction can get someone $1,000, then this is definitely a very good side hustle to pursue.
[00:00:17] Speaker B: You weren't born to sit in traffic, work for approval, or wait for Fridays. You were built to be free.

[00:01:04] Speaker A: If you are in your late 20s, 30s, or maybe even in your 40s, you can relate to the attraction or the temptation of a side hustle. We have been through so many economic downturns, so many surprises like the pandemic, or maybe specifically where you live or in the country where you're in, maybe there's some political unrest and something that can just keep you from making your main hustle as stable as you want it to be. And so over the past few years, and I guess the past decade, the term side hustle has gotten more and more famous. Now I'm Carla Singson of Proximity Outsourcing and I have spent almost two decades in business. I have discovered that there are so many things that I can definitely use and leverage, especially now that I'm in the business of outsourcing. So my company, Proximity Outsourcing hire stop tier talent from the Philippines and Latin America. And not only do we help businesses scale, we also help people who already own businesses or people who have full time jobs start a side hustle on the side. The way that we help them do this is to give them access to really affordable, really, really talented people from the Philippines and Latin America, which in general is much more affordable than hiring nearshore, maybe in the USA or in the uk, in Australia or Canada, where most of my clients are from. And so I sat down with my team and we brainstormed 23 side hustles that you can definitely use our team for or that you can outsource so that you can have an income on the side while you're doing your main thing, you're doing your main business or maybe even if you have a full time job. So these 23 side hustles are divided into two categories. The first one are physical businesses with online operations. So if you are the type of person who prefers having a physical business, you feel more comfortable having a, a small business on the side, maybe like a flower shop or something. I definitely have that business. I have that side hustle. That's why I had that example in mind. And if you want a portion of it, a large portion of the operations outsourced to an online department, like hiring someone from my company, proximity, outsourcing, we can definitely do that with you. The second category is businesses that are fully online. So these businesses, yes, you have to sell them, you, yes, you have to set them up, but you can completely outsource a huge part of the operations so that you can just like do a little bit of check in and work less than five hours a week in these businesses. I've seen people do it, I've seen my clients do it. And I'm very, very inspired by what I'm seeing. Being in the behind the scenes of these businesses, placing this talent and being able to really see all the potential of growing these side hustles. Mind you, all of these side hustles could easily be million dollar businesses. And it can also replace your main business if you prefer that. It can also be a good hedge when the economy is not doing very well. So typically when the economy is not doing very well, there are industries that get affected more than the other. So definitely having a side hustle that is completely different from your main hustle could be very, very valuable in this situations. So let's talk about the businesses that are easy to outsource, side hustles that are easy to outsource with a physical entity or a physical business. So number one is event equipment rentals. So you can rent out items for event and boot setups like lead projectors, lead walls, LCD projectors, chairs, tables, couches, TVs with stands, velvet robes. So if you want to have like a business that rents out these event materials, these like event props, it is a very high margin business. And let me tell you, I have very special knowledge in this industry because I actually own corporate events company for over 10 years. I even did a little bit of work all over Asia and I did a little bit of work in Las Vegas as well. And I was able to both be an attendee and be an employee or be a worker in some of these events. And one of the things that I noticed is that the event rental business is thriving. So obviously during the pandemic that industry hurt a little bit. But after that the margins are Very high. And you can easily outsource. Data entry, research, lead generation, canvassing, supply producing contracts, even social media management, those things are easy to outsource to a team. So yes, you will have to release or put up the capital for the items that you have to rent out. But after that, a lot of the operations, a lot of the appointment setting, talking to clients, contracts, follow ups and even organizing the setup can be done remotely, can be done virtually, and you can just hire a talented team from the Philippines to do that for you. Idea number two is real estate rentals. So, so whether you want to do long term rentals or short term rentals like Airbnb, I have a few Airbnb properties. You can use property management, virtual assistants or social media managers to help you with managing the cleaning, managing, replying to inquiries, asking for five star reviews on Airbnbs. So this is pretty easy because there is a huge availability of people and virtual assistants with experience in property management, in getting familiar with real estate, because the virtual assistant industry was very early into tapping and making real estate their main market. So me personally, I do have property manager virtual assistants managing my Airbnb, especially because my Airbnb are in the Philippines and I am physically based in Mexico. So the time zones are opposite. So obviously I cannot take care of the inquiries, I cannot take care of like repairs or any communication going on with my building because the times are literally opposite. I would definitely lose sleep if I try to do that. But all year round my Airbnbs are always occupied, they're always taken care of. So I just see the income and I just see the five star reviews come in through the Airbnb app on my phone because I'm a host, I'm a super host actually. And so that is another benefit of outsourcing a huge part of your long term rentals or short term rental business to a team of virtual assistants or affordable outsourced team from the Philippines or Latin America. Now example number three for an outsourceable side hustle with a physical business entity is local labor services. So if you have any business that's maybe in the blue collar category, you know, like plumbing, landscaping, a lot of these companies have very rich online experience taking advantage of like ads, appointment setting, even like scheduling, delivering quotes and communicating to customers and, and a lot of them actually outsource that part of their operations. So another thing that you can do is that if you honestly if you don't want to start the this blue collar business yourself, you can just go to the blue collar businesses in your area and you can advertise and be the middleman. Virtual assistant services or appointment setting or customer success customer service. A lot of people also complain about poor online response rates. And a lot of these blue collar businesses are also don't do a very great job at like marketing, asking for reviews and things like that. So you can definitely help them with that or you can do this yourself. And if there is a blue collar business that you want to start, even like boutique like businesses like Lashes salons, moving company like Arborist, So tons and tons of examples, tons of things that you can do with a huge chunk of your operations and your marketing outsourced to a great team in the Philippines. Okay. Idea number four is reputation management for local businesses. Earlier we were talking about operations and marketing for local businesses. So there could be businesses in your area that need reviews or that need replies to some of the bad reviews or maybe they need an update for their social media. Maybe you need to run some automations for them, maybe you need to manage some responses, maybe you want to assist them with like some local PR getting featured in a local publication or maybe even like local tv. So that is also a side hustle that you can do and that's also a service that you can offer to these local businesses. Idea number five or side hustle number five is Facebook Marketplace or ebay Arbitrage. So this is super easy to understand. It's basically just buying and selling items on Facebook Marketplace or doing the same thing on ebay. And so if you are the type of person who enjoys maybe going to thrift shops or doing a little bit of like buying and selling, even with just your own stuff, your friend stuff, your, you know, your, your family members, if they need your help selling something, if you find that type of work enjoyable, you can definitely build a side hustle off of it. And you can use virtual assistants to upload these listings, reply and negotiate and then arrange the meetup or arrange the sale for you. So that's another side hustle that you can do. Next side hustle is you can advertise for focus group or secret shopper opportunities. So this is very, very easy. It's such a small side hustle, but if you can find focus group opportunities or secret shopper opportunities, you can just do that and make some money on the side. You can also hire a virtual assistant to find these opportunities for you. You just show up, give your insights and get paid. You can even outsource the other participants maybe for, for a cut or something like that. If you are not a psychographic or a demographic match. Or you can even start this as like a local business, a really small, like local business offering secret shopper opportunities for, for the small businesses in your area. I'm sure there are businesses that will find that insight very, very valuable. And so you can hire a virtual assistant to find these deals for you and to organize some contracts and help you out with your schedule and even maintain like your social media platform or your website. So that's a whole business right there. And you can just do that without having to do it all by yourself. All right, so idea number seven is cloud kitchen marketing. So notice that there are certain maybe shops, I would say, or restaurants. I'm using the quotations because they're not full on restaurants, on DoorDash and on Uber Eats, where they are not really restaurants. They don't have like a sit down area. But we call them cloud kitchens. So these are just kitchens that are selling food straight from their commissary. And they're in Uber eats, they're in DoorDash, and they just sell food. And so they're not a full fledged restaurant. But these cloud kitchen businesses, they actually appreciate a lot of sales and a lot of direct sales. So if they can sell their food directly without having to give a percentage to uber eats or DoorDash, then that would be beneficial for them. So you could be that person who arranges that for them. Market these cloud kitchens, sell food to like the local houses in the area or like the offices in the area. Basically you're helping them sell more of their food without having to sell more of their food through DoorDash or Uber Eats where they, these platforms take a huge chunk of their income. So find some cloud kitchens in your area and offer to do this type of marketing for them. Once again, you can outsource all of that work to a virtual assistant as well. So example number eight is part time consulting. So even if you have another business or if you have a job, like a full time job in an office or a big company, even in a big, big consulting company, or even if you work for some of the behemoth companies out there, obviously little bit of fine print, as long as it doesn't violate your contract with where you're working, you can start a small consulting company. So you can hire a virtual assistant or a social media manager to help create content for you, repurpose content for you, and even like maybe do a little bit of appointment setting, pitching you to podcasts. So if you want to sell your Time for more money. So you can definitely start a small consulting company. So there are certain, maybe there's some knowledge that you're an expert at. And if you want to sell that information, then you can just do this on the side. So let me give you an example. So for example, you're hired for a job at say Amazon and you have a role where you have a lot of knowledge about a certain category of maybe products or services.
So as long as you don't reveal anything that is confidential, you have knowledge that can maybe help other e commerce stores or, or you maybe have knowledge that can help other managers, maybe you can do executive coaching on the side. And so in Amazon, for example, if you were paid for your job $150,000 a year, you can sell your consulting time for say $300 an hour. And so that is still, you know, by the hour pay, you will be paid way more than what you were paid at your full time job. And it's just like a little side hustle on the side. So if you can get like one hour every week, sold, two hours every week, so that's still a need like $2,000, $3,000 a month side hustle. And honestly, it's not bad. It could also be a good bridge or if you are thinking about, you know, leaving your job and starting a business full time, this is a good way to kind of have a slower start and a less scary way to jump into entrepreneurship. So the next side hustle is grant research and writing for nonprofits. So this is a very good side hustle, especially for writers, for former journalists and for even for people in marketing. So you can just coach a content writer from the Philippines or Latin America. You can talk to us at Proximity Outsourcing and hire a content writer, copywriter, or a social media manager who has experience or someone who can be trained up to do grant research and writing for non profits. Specifically, there are tons of nonprofits with really good funding and they can afford 500 to say $5,000 for writing these pieces of content. And so actually you don't even need to be a journalist or a really good writer to do this business. But if you are, you will have a significant advantage. And of course, if you are exposed to the world of nonprofits and grant writing, that is another advantage for you as well. So of course you have to network with these nonprofits. So that's also another thing to think about if you already have a big network of nonprofits. So that would be a really, really good option for you as A side hustle. Those nine ideas are some of the ideas that have some sort of a physical entity or some sort of a connection to a physical businesses. The next 14 ideas that I'm going to share in this list, you can do them all, virtually all digitally. You don't have to have a physical business or physical component of this business. You can just start it right away. And you may need a little bit more work during say the first three months or the first six months in selling these services, but they can totally be delivered online.
And the best part is you can outsource a huge chunk of the operations and the delivery of these side Hustle ideas. So I bet that you are already excited. Once again, quick shout out to my company, Proximity Outsourcing. Com, if any of these ideas stand out to you. Let's have a conversation. Let me give you a little bit of guidance. And if you are excited to start something that doesn't have a huge capital or a huge risk, outsourcing to the Philippines or Latin America is definitely a huge advantage and it will give you a lot of more breathing space in like giving your business or giving your side hustle time to make money before you go all in or you know, like before you fully take the plunge, quit your job or lose focus on your main hustle. So honestly, even if you have another online business, like a bigger online business or a business that makes say 20 to 50k a month, and if you just want a small business on the side as a hedge to that main business or even as attack on like an upside sell or a cross sell to your main business, definitely think about these ideas. I'm sure that you can pick up some really, really good ideas from this list. All right, so let's continue fully digital services, fully outsourceable side hustles that you can deliver online, number one is done for you. Podcast production. There is a new podcast being created, being promoted every day in many, many parts of the world. And that is something that you can outsource really easily. So if you can build a team that handles all the aspects of podcast production, communicating with guests, promotions of the episodes, repurposing some clips, announcing these episodes to newsletters, finding really good guests, also pitching you as a host to other podcasts, that can be done completely, virtually, and you can definitely hire a team from Proximity Outsourcing to do that for you end to end. And you can just call the shots on how much you want to charge these companies or these brands that are wanting to hire for podcast production. So idea Number two for the completely digital side hustles, thought leadership, ghost writing. So a lot of CEOs right now, a lot of business owners who own fully online businesses, they feel the need to continuously produce thought leadership content on LinkedIn, on Medium, maybe their newsletter substack. So a lot of these business owners really don't have the time to write it all or don't even have the time to edit what ChatGPT or Claude writes for them. Sometimes it doesn't have their voice perfectly, it doesn't have their stories weaved in and it doesn't know which pictures to choose when they publish these pieces of content. So you can help them with that and you can hire a team of writers to do that for you, some researchers and some social media managers to help you with that. All you really need to do is to, to sell the service. So idea number three, this is super easy. It's just a bookkeeping agency. So every business, every business needs bookkeeping. And truthfully this is something that AI or these like accounting platforms has not really perfected yet. And so it still has a huge advantage to hire a human being to check all of the records, making sure that all the ledgers are, are on point and everything is balanced and all of those things. And, and so yeah, you can just start a bookkeeping agency, hire bookkeepers, tax prep people from the Philippines or Latin America. I personally know friends who have done this. They have outsourced their 40 person, 50 person operation, 200 person operation in bookkeeping in the Philippines and they're doing very, very well. I can guarantee that. I personal friends who have done that. And because it's such a high demand service because every business in, in America alone, even just you know, needs bookkeeping. So you have a lot of people that you can really sell this to. Okay, so next example is HR and onboarding company. So HR or human resource management is one of the kind of like headache departments for a business to maintain because most businesses and most business owners are very, very focused on sales, marketing, growth, profit, revenue. Right? So this is kind of the problem child. It's just something that doesn't exist, excite a lot of business owners to be honest. So you can take that opportunity by forming an HR and onboarding company. Small businesses who don't have a solid HR team, but if they want to hire multiple people or onboard multiple vendors, so they need an onboarding service to do just this like repetitive thing to check all the boxes, cross the t's, dot the eyes and there's only so much AI can do, but this is definitely something that AI has not replaced. And not everyone also will read your vendor or employee manual. So make sure that you hire people to do this for you. So you can hire onboarding managers, you can hire clients success managers, customer success managers, you can hire HR assistants. And all of these services can just be delivered virtually or through online. So the next side hustle that you can do is for you to become an affiliate manager or to be a super connector to gain affiliate commissions from connecting different businesses together, finding these opportunities. So you can definitely hire an affiliate manager to teach how to find these connections. You can introduce your friends, your network to your own manager and have that manager find these opportunities for you as well and like manage the back end of that business. So I've, I've seen a lot of people do this. They genuinely just make money from connecting people. So for example, in my company, Proximity outsourcing, we pay $1,000 for a contract, a full time contract that gets referred to us. And so if that can happen, which is like one introduction, if one really good introduction can get someone $1,000, then this is definitely a very good side hustle to pursue. And mind you, we are a small company. Other companies out there will be offering much bigger commissions. There are also joint venture opportunities that you can check out. So I'm not going to explain what that is. You can look it up on YouTube. But there's definitely a lot of opportunities being an affiliate manager, connecting people together. And of course that is, that can be easily, easily outsourced as well. Okay, so the next opportunity is if you can start an Etsy graphic design shop. So if you go on Etsy, E, T S Y, it's an online shop that sells mostly designs. Now I know they also sell like print on demand stuff. They also sell like digital cards and things like that. But people buy a lot of pre made and customizable designs on Etsy. My wedding alone, my weddings actually with an S, I bought a lot of like designs on Etsy and it was just so easy. It was just like basically an online mall for like invitation designs. And I had a lot of fun doing that. And so can hire a graphic designer and give them direction on what's trendy and get them to just continuously like churn great designs. You can also promote it yourself, optimize your shop, learn the best practices, create invitations, children's books, create designs for the print on demand products.
T shirts, caps, I don't know if they have candles, but there's definitely a lot of Kind of design related side hustles that you can do with Etsy. So definitely check out that site, especially if you love design. Next is if you have background in hiring or hr, you can start a small business doing resume refresh, cover letter refresh, or you can even maybe be a consultant to teach career coaching. And you can outsource this design work, you can outsource this cover letter writing work if you know how to train people how to do it. And of course you can also outsource marketing, you can outsource social media to build your credibility in career coaching and helping people get better jobs. And so yes, you may have to deliver the services at first, but you can easily train other people to do it for you. You can just hire a graphic designer, you can hire a social media manager to help you build this business. And if, if you are AI fluent, you can even come up with like your own GPTs, your own prompts on how to even assist your team further in like creating these cover letters and things like that. So the next opportunity is if you want to create an online receptionist business. So I know that AI now has, has a head start in the receptionist industry because a lot of businesses are moving to having AI take care of the basic information turnover, the basic qualification. But there are still a lot of businesses that will hire people answering the phones, negotiating a little bit, doing qualification. So a huge industry that does this are businesses in the medical or wellness industry and in the legal industry. So you can hire online receptionists, virtual assistants with great spoken and written English and they can take care of this for you. So you can sell virtual receptionist services to a lot of small businesses in your area and even big businesses, honestly, like you can sell this to them. All right, the next opportunity for side hustle is on demand customer support. So a lot of small and medium enterprises right now, they don't need 24, 7 customer support. Some of them just need a little bit like even 20 hours a month or they just need like very, very on demand like replies. Maybe they just need someone to answer texts and emails once or twice a week. They basically just want to show their customers that they're not leaving them behind after they make a purchase. So you can just design a good package for this that is super affordable and you can outsource all of the work. And if you want to step up to like higher quality offers, you can also hire a customer success manager for higher level services or products, maybe products that are worth over like 500. So that is definitely a side hustle. That you can do on demand customer support. Because all, literally all businesses still want to invest in taking care of their customers, making sure that their customers are happy and satisfied. All right, the next side hustle is content repurposing. There are a lot of content creators and business owners that produce a lot of content. YouTube, podcasts, repurposing reels, and so sometimes they need help with that. This is super easy. You can just hire a bunch of video editors, a bunch of clippers, a bunch of social media managers can do this for you. All you need to do is to find these clients and you can outsource literally 100% of the operations of this business. All right, so next opportunity is easy web support.
So you can just offer like maybe one hour a month, at least two, maybe five or ten hours a month of website maintenance. Lots of small and medium businesses have websites that need safe web hosting and basically an insurance that if something breaks or if they want to update their site because they have a sale, they have a promo, they have a package they want to announce, and they're not very techy, they can do it themselves.
Instead of contacting a new person all the time on fiverr or something, they can just hire your company. So you can definitely sell these packages. You can start a web support web maintenance offer for as low as say, two hours of guaranteed work every month. And if there are any issues or if there are any plugin updates, then you can also commit to doing that for them. The margins in this business could be really, really good. Honestly, I've seen my friends do it and so I know it can be very possible for you. And there's just so many businesses that could easily become clients. Literally every business that has a website can be a client for this service. And once again, you can outsource WordPress developers, Shopify developers, project managers, virtual assistants, even customer success. You can outsource all of those roles to the Philippines, no problem. We have helped a lot of companies do this. Next side hustle idea is research and data management. So even with AI, a lot of people still need humans to meaningfully put research items together. This could be for school, for a nonprofit, for a grant, for a business, or even just for personal use. Maybe, maybe you want to become an official professional investigator, online investigator instead of, you know, just being a girl and being basically the FBI when you want to find out if the guy that, if the new guy that your friend is dating is for real. Right? So let's put all of those investigatives skills to good use and Putting it into a side hustle. Let's start a research and data management company. And once again you can outsource all the work to virtual assistants or to researchers to the Philippines and Latin America. So my other tip is to hire someone who's AI fluent. Hire someone who knows how to prompt engineer really well and who knows how to work with AI really, really well. Someone's someone who's really smart and someone who knows their way around major AI LLMs or AI platforms. So that would be my advice. Next is an AI prompt library subscription. So this is a more unique business. You can hire an AI fluent virtual assistant or an AI fluent project manager to build and continuously update. Just like an AI prompt library. If you are into AI and that is something that excites you, this is a very low friction business to have. You can just have like a library and of all of these AI prompts and you can update them. And these need to be tried and tested like AI prompts. So you have to really research and know what you're doing. It's very easy to build on any data housing or project management platform and you can just sell subscriptions to access to this library. So that sounds pretty easy. And I know a lot of people don't want to think or don't want to create the prompts themselves. Maybe they're not as good as you or they're not as good as the AI fluent project manager that you're hiring. So they will just pay for a low, low, low amount, like a low friction amount for access to this AI prompt library. All right. And the last idea is data cleanup services. So there are tons of online businesses, local businesses that need cleanup for their data. They need their inboxes cleaned up, they need their Google Drives cleaned up. They need their customer platform, their CRM cleaned up, their leads lists, their address books, their newsletters. So it's just all clutter, clutter, clutter. And so this could be a one time big thing or it could be an ongoing project. This is so easy to outsource. This is something that a lot of business owners procrastinate on, but they really, really would appreciate it. Trust me, even I would probably hire this, this company if I don't have a bunch of team members that I can just assign to do this. So you can hire a data entry specialist to do that for you or a project manager. So yes, those are, Those are the 23 outsourceable side hustles that you can easily start and do from the comforts of your own home. It doesn't matter if you have a main business, a main hustle, or if you have a full time job, it is still something that you can easily do, you can easily sell. There's tons of opportunities and I hope that this video helped you and I hope that it at least open up your mind to what else could be possible with proper outsourcing, with getting to the right people, with getting to top tier talent. Like if you have access to this talent, there are so many opportunities that you can just jump on and so many business ideas that you can do. I'm just giving you 23, but trust me, there are so many other opportunities out there. So I love talking about growing your businesses to seven figures, living that ideal life that really, really aligns with that business or the lifestyle or how you want to spend your days. And so if you love what I do, and I'm very, very privileged to have seen the behind the scenes of some of the fastest growing online businesses in this industry. And I'm very, very honored to be their partner in hiring top tier talent from the Philippines and Latin America. So I'm just bringing you the best of the best. Open up your mind to these opportunities, these ideas and if you feel that you have a friend who can benefit from it and they would appreciate having this knowledge, they would appreciate having these side hustle ideas, don't hesitate to to share this with them. I would really appreciate it as well. All right, thank you so much. And once again, if you want access to the top tier talent from the Philippines and Latin America, let's talk. Visit our
